This new item National - FS-SR200: http://www.generation-msx.nl/hardware/national/fs-sr200/media/1258/ Looks like very close to the Chakkari Copy: http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/epson/chakkari-copy/release/547/ What's your opinion? In the meanwhile, I asked something about to a Japanese user, let you know...

Thanks for the pointer. Do you know who is the actual vendor? Epson or National?

Before seeing the FS-SR200 I thought it was an Epson exclusive or Epson itself was the producer. Maybe some more infos are written on the PCB, search photo here: www.msxit.org

As it says Epson on the PCB, I assume Epson actually made it. Epson has its roots in Japan, so it is certainly possible. Also the National FS-P200 printer seems like a bigger brother to the Epson PI-40, so I would not be surprised that Epson also made that.
