A bit late this reply but I hope this will help you out.
Wait for the UFO to descent to the top of the roof. Walk towards it and stand right below it, then jump upwards. You must act quickly though, since the UFO will only stay for a couple of moments on the same spot. It will lift off and fly to another part of the roof.
